“Vendor” and “provider” are the words used to describe the community of professionals who provide direct services to people with developmental disabilities through contracts with California’s network of 21 community-based, non-profit regional centers. Before providers can provide and be reimbursed for services, they must go through an approval and contracting process with their local regional center(s).
