The latest Community Placement Plans (CPP) and Community Resource Development Plans (CRDP) have been approved.  Fiscal year 2024-2025 plans from regional centers include many unique and specialized services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, such as:
  • Supports for individuals with Autism
  • Substance abuse treatment programs
  • Sober living homes
  • Enhanced supported living services
  • Services for the deaf community
  • Services for individuals with dementia
  • 12 affordable housing projects.
The CPP and CRDP plans improve services to the community.  They also aim to reduce the reliance on the use of state-operated facilities and other restrictive living environments.  As part of CPP and CRDP, regional centers each year must:
  • Get input and feedback from families and individuals served
  • Use feedback to focus plans on priority areas for their community
  • Submit proposed plans to the Department for approval
Once the Department approves the plans, funding is provided to the regional centers.  They can use the funding to develop various resources like transportation options, day services, mental health and crisis services, and more.  To learn more visit the CPP and CRDP website.
