Now that the Provider Directory is live for service providers and regional centers, everyone is working to make sure provider information is correct.  Service providers are being contacted to guide them through necessary steps to check and update their information in the directory.  Providers included within rate reform must do this to be eligible for updated reimbursement rates that include the quality incentive, and one-time incentive payments have been available for all providers.  While some key dates have passed, it is NOT too late.  Updated rates still are possible, some with retroactive or prospective effective dates. Providers who need to submit or verify their data are encouraged to email providerdirectory@dds.ca.gov one time to be added to the support queue.  The Provider Directory website contains lists of service providers who have completed all steps, are missing or have incorrect information, or have submitted information that is not yet in the Directory. The Department and its contractor are working through a high volume of support calls and emails.  We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work through this step. How you can help:  Please ask your service provider(s) if they are participating in the Provider Directory and whether they have registered.  You can forward this newsletter to them or direct them to the Provider Directory website. Why the Provider Directory is important:  Once complete, this online portal will be used to input, store, and view information about service providers statewide.  The Provider Directory will:
  • Centralize information about service providers that work with multiple regional centers
  • Help to clarify the organizational structure within companies
  • Maintain up-to-date contact information
  • Enable direct communication among the Department, regional centers, and service providers
  • And in the future, the Provider Directory will allow  individuals and families to identify service providers.
